EPFO Jammu hosts Pension Adalat

Jammu, May 5:  Employees Provident Fund Office (EPFO) Jammu today organised a Pension Adalat to facilitate processing and transfer of Pension cases.

During the day, members were approached through telephone and advised to provide the documents on EPFO whatsapp helpline to enable the office process the pension cases expeditiously. Pensioners Ram Lal, Surju Devi,  Ruby Chauhan, Jagdish Raj, Hans Raj, Bawa Ditta were contacted telephonically and asked to open their Bank Account in the Banks and submit the documents to EPF Office.

A recently superannuated claimant, Ajay Kumar Pandey, who visited the Office from Samba wanted to transfer his pensionable service from Regional Office, Delhi South to Regional Office Jammu.

RPFC-I confirmed the genuineness of the documents from Delhi P.F Office and directed Pranav Gupta (ASO) to process the same. The claimants were provided Pension forms and assisted to fill the same. Further, 3 pension cases of Sanjeet Singh Dutta, Charanjeet Singh and Dharam Singh were also processed on the same day.

The EPFO Jammu has accorded top priority pension claims and efforts are being made to ensure disposal of maximum number of   cases.

In this context, it is pertinent to mention that the monthly pension is available to members if they have ten or more years of service under Employees’ Pension Scheme 1995 in one or more establishment(s). The eligible members can avail Superannuation Pension by applying online claim through their UAN Login after attainment of 58 years of age. Provision of monthly pension is also available to the family of EPS members in case of unfortunate demise of an EPS member while in service. The family member(s) may avail monthly pension by applying offline claim through the employer of the deceased member.
