Srinagar, April 28 :Pursuing the directions of Joint Director, Forest Protection Force, Sh. Irfan Rasool Wani, IFS to conduct frequent anti-smuggling operations during the month of Ramadan, a team of Forest Protection Force, Baramulla under the command of Sh. Manmeet Singh, Assistant Director in association with the forest territorial staff has apprehended a notorious timber smuggler namely Nazir Ahmad Gojri alias Nazir Cobra along with his Maruti Car bearing Registration No:-JK05-6113 laden with illicit timber.
Operation was conducted during the intervening night of 26th– 27th-April 2022 at Binner, Venkura Road, Baramulla. Culprit was handed over to the Police Station, Baramulla and an FIR No:-70/2022.Dated:-27/04/2022 under Section-379 IPC and Section-26IFA, 1927 has been lodged against him.
