Srinagar, April 27: An army trooper was injured in an ongoing encounter at Mitrigam area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday.
A top police officer told GNS that during initial exchange of firing one army soldier received minor injury. He has been removed to a hospital where is condition is said to stable.
Earlier a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation on a specific input.
As the joint team of forces intensified searches towards the target spot, the hiding militants fired upon the joint forces leading to an encounter.
