DC Reasi listens to public grievances at Pouni, reviews progress of development projects

Reasi, April 27: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babila Rakwal today visited Allya block Pouni and conducted a public grievances Redressal camp at Panchyat Ghar Allya. She also assessed the response of the public towards various developmental initiatives being implemented by the government in the area.

The Deputy Commissioner listened   to the  issues projected by the PRIs and public and   issued directions to the concerned quarters for early redressal of the same .

The camp was attended by ADDC, Jyoti Salathia; AD Tourism Ambika Bali; ACR Anirudh Rai; CMO Dr Rajeev Sharma; AD Fisheries Sanjesh Gupta;  CHO Brij Vallabh;  Legal Metrology Officer Pushkar Raj;  Tehsildar Pouni Lekh Raj, BDO Pouni besides other district officers  along with Sarpanchs and Panchs.

The PRIs and Public put forth a number of demands seeking up-gradation of Government Middle School Allya and provision of additional  accommodation. The demanded adequate staff in schools, construction of  Subcentre building Allya,  installation of Handpumps, construction of boundary wall at Jhulla Bridge, Playground for youths, issuance of permit to youth for driving vehicles, need of Chowkidar at Panchayat Ghar and hand holding and support  to women by the department of Handicraft and Handlooms through different schemes.

After listening to the Public Grievances, the DC addressed the same one by one. She also motivated the public to avail the benefits of the government schemes meant for them.

Diverse issues related to basic amenities like clean drinking Water, uninterrupted Power supply, all weather Roads, Transport facilities, PDS, quality  Education, updated and modern Health care facilities etc were also raised by the public. Many of them were resolved instantly on the spot through face to face deliberations with District Officers, while directions were given to the concerned for meeting the rest of the demands.

The DC Reasi also distributed Golden Cards among the beneficiaries.
