Srinagar, Apr 26 : A massive fire has broken out in Kanimazar locality of Nawa Bazar area in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.
Reports reaching GNS said that at least two residential houses are engulfed in a massive conflagration, which broke at around 7:35 PM. Soon after the news spread, the Fire and Emergency Department employees assisted by locals launched efforts to put out the fire.
When contacted, a Fire and Emergency Department official told GNS that efforts were on to contain the raging flames. “It is a highly congested area, which is hindering the efforts”, he said adding there are apprehensions that the fire may spread to other structures though all possible efforts are being made to avoid such a situation.
