CGST JK division meet at Kargil; delegations assured speedy resolution of issues

Kargil, April 19: Principal Commissioner, ​​Central Goods and Services Taxes, J&K Mahesh Kumar Rastogi chaired a meeting with local traders, hoteliers and contractors of the district Kargil, UT of Ladakh. During the meeting, the delegation appraised the concerned officers about various issues faced by the business community.

The representative of the contractor association appraised the visiting official about the issue of non-refund of TDS charged by the executing agencies. The representatives of the Hotel Association also highlighted various issues faced by the community especially in regard to mandatory registration of small hotels who were engaged by civil administration for COVID purposes but fall below the threshold limit mandated by GST Act.

The visiting officials including Deputy Commissioner CGST Srinagar, Daanish Gill and Inspector UTGST, Ladakh Javed Iqbal discussed the grievances of the business community and assured that the matters at hand shall be placed before the right quarters for speedy redressal.

Shri MK Rastogi also urged the traders’ community to constantly update the GST officials regarding their issues, so as to resolve them in a timely manner. The traders’ delegation expressed their gratitude to Shri MK Rastogi and his team on visiting Kargil and expressed hope that they will find speedy resolution of the issues raised by the trading community of Kargil.
