Ramban, April 16: Rural Development Department and Panchayati Raj Department conducted ‘Polythene-free Society’ cum cleanliness drive across the district here today. Drive for verification of Awas Plus with Aadhar verification process in various panchayats was also conducted.
On the occasion, officials of the department sensitised the public about Swachh Gram Abhiyan and for adoption of Sustainable Development Goals under its 100-point agenda in all panchayats of the district. They were also enlightened about the agenda of Gram Swaraj Month.
Meanwhile, various issues pertaining to development of rural areas were also discussed besides conducting plantation and cleanliness drives in prominent places during the day’s activities.
