Director YSS congratulates JK Dragon Team on winning 9th National Dragon Boat Championship

Srinagar, April 14: Director Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), Gazanfar Ali Thursday congratulated JK Dragon team on winning the 9th National Dragon Boat Championship, saying the whole UT was proud of them.

Congratulating the team, Director DYSS, Gazanfar Ali said, “You are our stars. All of you and associated officials deserve appreciation for continuously delivering winning performances. Seeing your passion and talent, I am sure our shining stars will perform across the globe.”

” Our UT’s history is filled with title triumphs across the country,  I applaud JK Dragon team for their win. Their journey embodied the team’s never say die spirit. Wishing you all the best for your future battles,” he said.

Hailing the team for taking the rich legacy forward and living up to the expectation of its fans and colleagues alike, Director YSS assured the players that the department would do whatever possible to support the team. “Work hard, play with passion and make efforts to keep the department’s flag aloft,” he said.

It’s worth mentioning here that J&K Dragon Boat Team won the Bronze Medal in 200 mtrs mixed-race event, during the 9th National Dragon Boat Championship, held at Alappuzha, Kerala from 8th to 10th April 2022.

The team was sponsored by Khyber Industries Pvt. Ltd. and co-sponsored by J&K Youth Services & Sports, HK Cements, TCI Cements, Kashmir Mahal Resorts, Elfa International, and Ehsaas International.
