PFMS Performance Review Meeting for Northern region at SKICC Srinagar

Srinagar, April 13:A Public Financial Management System (PFMS) review meeting for North zone States and banking issues was held on 13.04.2022 at SKICC, Srinagar under the chairpersonship of Smt. Dharitri Panda, Additional CGA, PFMS Division, Office of Controller General of Accounts, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance.

A detailed discussion with the participating State Governments was held on issues related to new procedure of release of funds under the Centrally Sponsored Schemes and Treasury Integration with PFMS. Emphasis was made on timely and correct data exchange by states with PFMS ensure to accurate and reliable financial reporting and to ensure that there was not float in system.

The bank review meeting stressed on major Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Single Nodal Account (SNA) issues so as to make the banking systems more adaptive for new changes.

The meeting was also attended by Smt. Jaspal Kaur Pradrot, Joint. CGA, North Zone States including J&K, Shri Eddie L. Khawlhiring, Jt. CGA, Technology, Banking & Reports Vertical of PFMS HQ, New Delhi and technical team of NIC –PFMS and State Finance officials of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Jammu & Kashmir, Seven major Banks i.e. SBI , PNB, Canara Bank, Jammu & Kashmir Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank and HDFC Bank also participated in the meeting. CGM of SBI Shri Subhash Jamwal headed the SBI. The meeting concluded with a note of Thanks to the chairperson.
