Rana terms Sidhra Temple sacrilege as unpardonable act, seeks stern punishment to perpetrators

Jammu, April 11: Senior BJP leader Devender Singh Rana today visited the Narsingh Temple, in the outskirts of the City of Temples, and expressed grave concern over the unfortunate, unholy and unpardonable act of desecration .

He said: “The incident should not be brushed aside just as the handiwork of hooligans but a thorough probe should be carried out to unmask the perpetrators behind the most heinous crime essentially engineered to disturb peace and tranquility”.

Devender Rana said the guilty should be immediately booked and brought to justice in a time bound manner for stern and exemplary punishment as per law so that the peace inimical elements think twice before daring even to think about such misadventures. There seems to be a pattern in such acts and the law enforcing agencies should redouble their efforts to nip the evil in the bud as such incidents have potential to flare up the communal passions at a place  known for harmony and brotherhood. He urged the people, irrespective of religious affiliations, to come forward and take a firm stand against the anti-social elements, which are out to vitiate the atmosphere.

Rana also made a passionate appeal to the people of Jammu to maintain unity and harmony, which he said was the most effective response to foil the machinations of the disruptive elements. Any emotive move by the people will amount to playing into the hands of the enemies of unity and amity, he said.

Accompanied by Baldev Raj, Mohd Sultan, Angrez Singh, Shiv Ram, Bishan Singh, Ajay Sharma, Babu Ram Bhagat, Babu Ram, Abdul, Mohd Haneef, Sagra Singh, Jagdish Singh, Mohan Lal, Shyam Singh, Madan Lal, Devender Kumar, Karan Singh, Chaman Lal and others Rana condemned the act and hailed the  maturity of the people in meeting the situation sagaciously.
