Srinagar, April 9: The Enforcement Wing of Lake Conservation & Management Authority today carried out a demolition drive in the area of Abi Karpora Dal, Dodh Mohalla NFR, Nigeen, Teilbal and Hyderia Colony Shalimar.
During the drive, one Hut, four single storey houses, two 2nd storey houses and shuttering for plinth were demolished which were raised illegally by some unscrupulous elements.
Moreover, some wooden piling erected inside the Dal Lake Abi Karpora was seized by the demolition team of this Wing.
Meanwhile, the locals residing in the area of LCMA Jurisdiction are informed to apply for online building permissions through LCMA online official portal/website.
People residing in LCMA jurisdiction and in the lake are hereby once again directed not to go for any sort of illegal constructions / encroachments, as the Enforcement wing will continue its demolition drives of illegal constructions/ removal of encroachments.
