Gram Swaraj Month:Job Card verifications, other activities held across Ramban Panchayats

Ramban, April 8: Continuing month-long Gram Swaraj celebration activities, the Department of Rural Development and Panchyati Raj today focused on verification of Job Card holders and the Panchayat Accounts.

The officers from Rural Development and other line departments also attended the Gram Sabhas in different Panchayats.

A Panchayat secretariat was established in Panchayat  Maligam B of Block Ukhral besides conducting Job card and Panchayat account verification by the concerned officers.

The Assistant Commissioner Development, Zameer Ahmed Rishu informed that a series of activities were conducted in the Panchayats of the district in which PRIs and the public participated.

While conducting door to door campaign about Swach Gram Mission, the officials appealed the people to focus on sustainable development by focusing on cleanliness and sanitation in their localities.

The ACD also asked the officers and PRIs to monitor the activities being conducted under Gram Swaraj celebrations as per guidelines besides ensuring public participation in these programmes. He also asked them to sensitize the people about Swachh Gram and adoption of Sustainable Development Goals indicators for this year.
