Market Checking intensified at Ganderbal

Ganderbal, April 7: As per the directions of District Administration Ganderbal, a joint team of Food Safety and FCS&CA headed by Assistant Commissioner Food Safety Ganderbal. Mrs. Shagoofa Jalal and Assistant Director FCS&CA Dr. Naseer Ahmad along with Food Safety Officers today conducted extensive Market Checking of Main Market Duderhama Ganderbal especially Butchers, Green Grocers, Nanwais and Chicken Sellers.

During inspection fine was imposed on erring traders and rotten fruits and Vegetables were destroyed on Spot.

Speaking on the occasion, the AC Food said that in order to ensure the quality and price control in market and to keep vigil on erring traders especially in the ongoing month of Ramadan, such drives will be conducted on a routine basis so that quality of commodities is ensured throughout the district.

Moreover, all stake holders viz Butcher’s, Chicken sellers, Nanwais, fruit and vegetable sellers were directed to adhere Govt. approved rates in letter and Spirit and also maintain sanitation and hygiene under Schedule 4 of Food Safety & Standards Act-2006.
