Kishtwar: AYUSH Department concludes Awareness Activities under Poshan Pakhwada

Kishtwar, April 4: The “Poshan Pakhwada” activities culminated today here in district Kishtwar wherein a series of Awareness activities were conducted by Department of AYUSH at all its Ayush centres.

These awareness activities were conducted under the various ambitious schemes of the ministry of AYUSH, Govt of India on the instructions of Directorate AYUSH Jammu and Kashmir UT.

During the fortnight long  programme,  the medical officers, In-charges and other AYUSH staff under the leadership of the Nodal officer Dr Taraq Hussain collaborated with various ICDS, AnganWadi Centres, Schools and other public and social institutions to conduct awareness activities..

The medical officers distributed health kits and mparted education to the people regarding nutrition and its importance for the child, lactating mothers and adolescents.

During the Poshan Pakhwada, the children, adults, lactating mothers were educated and asked to thrive upon the home made food items including  green leafy vegetables, pulses, grains and fruits and  avoid the fast foods and unhealthy eating habits.
