Nuzhat Ishfaq chairs public hearing camp at Manasbal

Ganderbal, April 1: With an aim to redress the grievances of people at their doorsteps, Chairperson District Development Council Ganderbal, Nuzhat Ishfaq today visited Manasbal where she chaired a public hearing camp in the meeting hall of Manasbal Development Authority.

The camp was attended by PRI members of block Safapora and large gathering of locals.

 

Among others, the program was also attended by Vice-Chairperson DDC Ganderbal, Bilal Ahmad, Additional District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Khurshid Ahmad Shah, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba, ACD, Executive Engineers of various wings besides other officers and official of line departments.

 

During the proceedings, PRIs and locals apprised the chairs about number of issues related to better power and water facility, upgradation of roads, desilting of irrigation canals, revenue issues and other issues of public importance were highlighted and sought her intervention for early redressal of the issues raised.

 

Nuzhat Ishfaq gave patient hearing to the issues raised and assured the locals that the demands and issues raised will be taken up with the concerned departments at an earliest.

 

Several grievances were redressed on the spot and she gave necessary directions to the concerned officers for the redress of the rest issues pertaining to their departments in a time bound manner.

 

The ADDC while interacting with the PRIs and locals said that district administration is committed to ensure equal development of all blocks of the district and assured full support to the PRIs for ensuring time bound redressal of possible grievances raised.

 

Speaking on the occasion, the Chairperson said that purpose of holding public hearing camp is to have firsthand appraisal about the issues and demands being faced by the people and to provide on spot redressal of possible grievances.
