J&K Bank warmly farewells its top management functionaries

Srinagar, April 1: J&K Bank gave a warm send off to its two top management functionaries Sunil Gupta and Karanjit Singh, who superannuated yesterday as the Bank’s Executive President and President respectively, after serving the institution for around three-and-half decades in different capacities and situations. Sunil Gupta was heading various portfolios that primarily included IT and Government Business, while as Karanjit Singh was Special Secretary to the Bank’s MD & CEO.

The farewell function presided over by MD & CEO, Baldev Prakash was attended by Presidents, Vice-Presidents and other senior officers of the Bank. Vice President Anokh Singh, who also retired after putting in 33 years of service in the Bank, was also present at the function held at the bank’s Corporate Headquarters.

Lauding the contributions of outgoing officers, the MD & CEO, Baldev Prakash said, “Sunil Gupta Ji has given 36 best years of his life to this Bank while as Karanjit Ji and Anokh Singh Ji have served the institution for 33 years. During my last three months here, I have found Sunil Ji as very diligent, decisive and dedicated leader who not only knew his role in the Bank but was always conscious of the role that this institution has been playing in this region for over eight decades. With keen eye for detail and steely resolve to see all his assigned projects through, Sunil Ji will always be held in high esteem by his colleagues, subordinates and acquaintances alike in the Bank.”

“And I have seen Karanjit Ji serving the bank utilizing all his competencies. I have been impressed by his meticulous method of work besides affable and pleasant conduct. And I know all of you are more familiar than me with Anokh Singh ji’s decent and humble demeanor.”

Wishing them healthy, happy and active post-retirement lives along with all other retirees, MD & CEO added, “I must say that I have benefited a lot professionally from the experiences of all these wonderful human beings.”

Speaking on the occasion, Sunil Gupta said, “It has been a great pleasure to serve this institution and I feel delighted to see this long and eventful journey of thirty-six years concluding so well. Whatever I have learned and earned during these unforgettable years of my life has mostly been possible because of my association with you and so many other colleagues. I thank you all for this and will fondly remember these years with profound sense of affection and satisfaction”

Thanking all his colleagues and friends for their support and love throughout his career, Karanjit Singh said, “I feel honoured and happy to have been part of J&K Bank family. The journey has been rewarding and I am grateful to everyone I have worked with as so many wonderful friendships and cherishing memories of shared times would always remain with me.”
