Youth Engagement, Outreach campaign under MY ends in Poonch

Series of awareness programmes held on last day

Poonch, Mar 26: A series of mega awareness programmes were held across Poonch district here on the last day of Youth Engagement and Outreach Campaign organised by the District Administration here under J&K Mission Youth.

The programmes were organised at Government Degree College, Mendhar, Government Degree College, Surankote, Higher Secondary School, Bufliaz, and Dakbunglow Mandi.

The awareness programmes were organized by District Administration Poonch in collaboration with all line departments.

At the outset, the resource persons from all Departments provided detailed information to the participants, besides the persons with success stories under Mission Youth also shared their journey of their startups.

Registration counters were also established by all line departments and the participants registered themselves for availing benefits of different self employment schemes.

Special lectures were also delivered on drugs de-addiction, crime against women, social auditing, planning process, plantation, identification of gaps in planning and development etc.

Block Development Council chairpersons, DDC members, PRI representatives and a large number of youth including women participated in these programmes.

A symposium was also organised at Higher Secondary School Chandak on the theme Crime against Women Social and Legal aspects.

During the campaign, thousands of fruit plants were planted across the district including at the spaces available at youth clubs.
