Patwar Khanas given buildings/ dedicated places at Anantnag

Anantnag, Mar 26: In a major step towards transparency and accountability and at operationalizing public infrastructure in various parts of the district, 81 Patwar Khanas were given buildings in the district.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Dr Piyush Singla said that various quarters had made genuine demands that patwar khanas be given dedicated places so that applicants can approach the patwaris for various revenue related services. He said that strict instructions have been passed to concerned employees to remain present at the designated Patwar Khanas from 11 AM to 1 PM everyday.

The 81 patwar khanas are spread across the district with 14 in Anantnag, 13 in Kokernag, 10 in Dooru, 10 in Bijbehara, 9 in Shangus and 25 in other tehsils.
