Body of 27-yr-old girl found in Poonch river

Poonch, Mar 25 : The body of a 27-year-old girl from Saujiyan area of Poonch district was on Friday found lying in a river in Poonch.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a girl identified as Raseela Kouser (17) daughter of Munir Hussain of Saujiyan, who was at her relative’s home in Poonch town, was found dead today.

“She left her relative’s house last night and went missing and her body was found lying in river today,” officials said.

Soon after receiving information, police officials said, SSP Poonch Rohit Baskotra himself alongwith Deputy SP HQ Nawaz Ahmed and SHO Poonch SD Singh reached the spot.

“We have taken body of the deceased girl into our possession and formalities are going on while an investigation has also been set into motion,” DySP HQ Poonch, Mohammad Nawaz said.
