Srinagar, Mar 23: The Department of Tourism carried out a plantation drive at the Butterfly Park, Nigeen today.
The plantation drive was supervised by Secretary, Tourism, Sarmad Hafeez and Director, Tourism, Kashmir, Dr. G N Itoo in which students from several adjoining schools also participated.
The Department is planning to develop the Butterfly Park, Nigeen into a Theme Park for which necessary work is underway.
Officers and officials of the Department, on the occasion planted different varieties of plants in the Park. Students from nearby schools planted saplings and vowed to protect the environment for posterity.
