Samoon reviews progress achieved under all set doables for SDD

Jammu, Mar 23: Principal Secretary, Skill Development, Asgar Hassan Samoon, today had a review meeting regarding progress achieved under all set doables for the Skill Development Department.

The meeting was attended by Mission Director, JKSDM, Director Skill Development Department, representatives of administrative departments of School Education, Higher Education, Universities of Jammu, IUST, BGSBU, IIM Srinagar, NIT Srinagar and representatives of NSDC and DGT besides Secretary BOTE and others.

Samoon asked the Director SDD and representatives of various universities to work out mechanism for acknowledgement of credits earned by the candidates enrolled in Polytechnics and ITIs by other institutes where they can be enrolled for higher education.

He directed the concerned authorities to work out modalities for providing skill training to 60000 Self Help Groups in association with NRLM, Himayat and Mission Youth.

Principal Secretary also directed the officers to furnish the list of all job placements of pass-outs from the institutions of SDD achieved in the past two years for data consolidation.
