ROB J&K’s 5-Day Multimedia Exhibition on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav concludes

As Indians we must take inspiration from freedom fighters: Dr. Raghav  

Jammu, Mar  23: The 5 day multi-media Exhibition on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav organized by the Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB) , J&K and Ladakh, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting concluded today at Kala Kendra Jammu.

The closing ceremony was presided over by Dr. Raghav Langer, Divisional Commissioner Jammu.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Langer lauded the efforts of ROB,J&K for providing the people of Jammu with an opportunity to know about the freedom struggle and freedom fighters. He called for a need to organise more such awareness programs especially in rural areas. Dr. Langer said that as citizens of India we must take inspiration from the determination and resolve of our freedom fighters.

“We should be proud of the achievements of our nation during the last 75 years. India’s view on world affairs is being respected today. Our nation has emerged as a leader in different fields and other nations look up to India for guidance” he added.  He impressed upon the youth to take lead and work to preserve this hard fought freedom.

Joint Director, Regional Outreach Bureau and Press Information Bureau, Jammu and Kashmir,   Neha Jalali, in her address, said that Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is the celebration of our glorious past and a festival of a great legacy left behind by our visionary forefathers, who laid the foundation of our great nation. She said that events like these take us to our freedom struggle and make us feel and identify with the emotions and strong resolve of our freedom fighters.

Ms Jalali highlighted the importance of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and detailed out the five pillars of the campaign viz Freedom struggle, Ideas @75, Resolve @75, Actions@75 and Achievements@75. She also informed that two more such events are being organized by ROB at Udhampur and Jammu during this week.

The 5 day multi-media exhibition was inaugurated by  Jugal Kishore,   MP on March 19, .2022.

During the exhibition, a collection of rare photographs of the freedom struggle were displayed alongwith the screening of documentaries, interactive information kiosks, selfie corners, quiz and audio-visual consoles on Indian freedom struggle. Empanelled cultural troupes of ROB, J&K presented theme based cultural programs on all days of the exhibition.
