ADDC Gbl listens issues of PRIs of block Safapora during Weekly Block Diwas

Ganderbal, Mar 23: With an aim to redress the grievances of people, the weekly block Diwas program was today held at Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat Ganderbal chaired by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Ganderbal, Khurshid Ahmad Shah which was attended by PRI members of block Safapora.

Among others, the program was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba, ASP Ganderbal, CPO, ACP, and ACD besides other officers and official of line departments.

 

During the proceedings of block Diwas, PRIs raised a number of grievances related to desilting of irrigation canals, better water and power supply, renovation of block office building, rehabilitation of stone curry workers, upgradation of roads, play fields, awareness camps regarding Horticulture and Agriculture and other issues of public importance were highlighted.

 

The ADDC gave patient hearing to the issues raised on the occasion and several grievances were redressed on the spot and necessary directions were issued to concerned officers for the redress of the rest on immediate basis.

 

Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC said that purpose of holding Block Diwas is to have firsthand appraisal about the issues and demands being faced by the people and to provide on spot redressal of possible grievances. He also urged the officers to works with zeal and close coordination of PRIs to achieve targets on time.
