Rs. 46k recovered from erring shopkeepers; 8 Poultry, Mutton shops sealed by FCS&CA

Srinagar, Mar 22 : The Enforcement Squad of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) today recovered a penal sum of Rs. 46,200 from 37 erring shopkeepers, besides eight wholesale poultry/mutton shops were also sealed for violation of the E.C.Act.

The action was taken by the teams of FCS&CA in view of the complaints that poured from different sections of the society regarding illegal enhancement of rates of poultry and other products.

On the occasion, the Enforcement squad spread out the teams in two zones of Srinagar City to conduct market checking. During the market checking 102 business establishments were inspected in different areas of Srinagar City like Lakhriyar, Soura, Buchpora, Pantha Chowk, Bemina, Lawaypora, Umer Abad etc.

It was given out that the drive will continue in the same passion in future as well and whosoever found violating the norms will be brought to justice.
