Director Sports Inaugurates UT Level KhoKho Competitions

Sports enhance social and cultural life by bringing together individuals and communities: Gazanfar Ali

Kathua Mar 19: ‘’Sports enhance social and cultural life by bringing together individuals and communities. Sports helps to break down prejudice, intolerance and discrimination’’.


This was stated by Director Youth Services and Sports J&K Gazanfar Ali at Shivalik Resort Dayalachack here. Director sports after declaring the Inter District UT Level Kho-Kho
competitions open interacted with the participating girl players and showered his blessings and words of encouragement on them.

He insisted on parents for providing equal opportunities to their daughters as they will make them proud with their dedication and commitment. He expressed joy on the huge participation of girls in different games and sporting activities. Director YS&S was accompanied by District Youth Services and Sports Officer Kathua Sunil Kumar and other senior officers of the Department.

The tournament is being organised for the U/19 yrs Girls. Teams from different J&K districts are taking part in the competition.

All the ZEPOs of the district Kathua and the members of field staff were also present in the opening ceremony.
