DDC Chairperson Gbl calls on Div Com Kashmir; submit memorandum

Srinagar, Mar 17:  The Chairperson, District Development Council (DDC) Ganderbal, Nuzhat Ishfaq and Ex MLA Ganderbal, Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar today called on Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole and raised various local issues with him.

The duo discussed various problems being faced by patients, employees, students and tourists due to traffic jam from Duderhama to Beehama Chowk. They demanded that an alternate route via District Hospital should be made functional and all the bottlenecks should be removed immediately.

In an effort to push industrial growth and Tourism, both the leaders demand that Government land from Gangerhama to Wayil bridge be developed as an industrial and tourist area.

They raised the issue of abandoned buildings in the district which have not being put to use from the past quite a long time and demanded that these buildings should be transferred to other departments which are working in rented accommodations etc.

Div Com Kashmir passed on necessary instructions to the District Administration Ganderbal and further assured the duo that all their genuine issues shall be taken with the concerned quarters for prompt resolution.
