Regional Red Cross Kashmir organizes Mega Blood Donation camp at Lasjan

Srinagar, Mar 16: The Regional Red Cross Branch of Kashmir today organized a Mega Blood Donation camp in collaboration with Lal Ded Hospital and ‘Madad’ Foundation at Lasjan, here.

This is for the second time that the mega blood donation camp was held here in which over a hundred blood points were donated by the volunteers of the local area of Lasjan.

The organizers informed that previous year blood donation camp was organised on the same day during which 102 blood points were donated and added that today the target was higher and 120 points were collected.

The volunteers on the occasion told Red Cross officials that they would be ready to donate blood whenever contacted in future.

The camp displayed the message, ’To Humanity through peace, donate blood to serve humanity’ to woo participants.

Speaking on the occasion, the senior officer of Red Cross appreciated volunteers for the noble act and underlined that it helps to save precious lives in emergency cases and normal occasions.
