Dist. Admin Srinagar provides immediate assistance under Red Cross to fire victims of Bilal Colony Zakura, Baghat e Shuru

DC Srinagar also sanctions Rs 2.0 lakh ex-gratia relief under SDRF

Srinagar, Mar 16: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, a team of District Administration, Srinagar today visited Bilal Colony, Zakura and Baghat e Shuru areas of the district to provide immediate assistance/ex-gratia relief to the affected families whose houses were gutted in separate fire incidents.

 At Bilal Colony, Zakura, a house was damaged in a fire incident on March 06 in which 3 families were affected. The District Administration provided them immediate assistance out of the Red Cross in the form of 15 blankets, 9 mattresses, 9 bed sheets and 3 kitchen sets, besides Rs 15000 to all 3 affected families as an interim relief.

 Similarly, the affected family of Baghat e Shuru area of the district was also provided 5 blankets, 3 mattresses, 3 bed sheets and a kitchen set, besides Rs 5000 as an immediate assistance under Red Cross.

 Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar has also sanctioned Rs 2.0 lakh in favour of the fire victims of both the houses owners.
