Padma Shri Padma Sachdev P.G. College for Women felicitates Prize winners of Annual Veerana Aivalli Memorial Debate Competition

Jammu, Mar 15:  Padma Shri Padma Sachdev P.G. College for Women on Tuesday organised a felicitation ceremony to honour the winners of Annual Veerana Aivalli Memorial Debate Competition, here on the College Campus.

Principal of the College Prof. (Dr.) Sangita Nagari   congratulated and motivated the participants and the faculty associated with the competition. In her speech, the Principal lauded the hard work and dedication of the students. She said that it is a proud moment for the institution. She also urged the students to ride upon their accomplishments and continue to strive forward in pursuit of their dreams with the same dedication and commitment so that they can be valuable citizens of the country.

The 20th Annual Veerana Aivalli Memorial Debate Competition was held on March 11, 2022 at Brigadier Rajinder Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu.

The topic for the same was “In the Opinion of the House, it is the Culture of sports and not just Government Policy that can improve Indian Medal Tally at Olympics-2024.”

Ojasvi Dubey from Semester 1 and Mahroash Malik from Semester lll represented the college where around 29 teams participated. Ojasvi Dubey got Consolation Prize.

The team of the participants was guided by Dr Surjit Kour Raina; convener Literary committee, Prof Chetna Mahajan and Prof Paramjeet Singh. Dr Revika Arora, coordinator CLUJ and Dr Javed Iqbal, Assistant Dean CLUJ were also present on the occasion.
