Missing for 24 days, body of ex-PDD employee found in Awantipora

Pulwama, Mar 12 : Body of a missing 65-year-old man, who had been missing for the last 24 days, was recovered from river Jhelum in south Kashmir’s Awantipora on Saturday.

Reports reaching GNS said that the body of Abdul Gani Bhat (65) son of Mohammad Sideeq Bhat of Sunsaneel area of Pulwama was spotted by some passersby who informed the concerned police station about it. Later a police team reached the spot and recovered the body.

A police official told GNS that Bhat, a retired PDD employee, had been missing since February 16. He said further proceedings have been initiated.
