Budgam Police arrested notorious thief

Budgam, Mar 11 : On 9th March 2022 evening, Police station Chadoora received a written complaint from one Abdul Gani Dar son of Abdul Rahman Dar resident of Daulatpora Chadoora wherein he stated that one person namely Zahid Muzaffar alias Raja Don son of Mohammad Muzaffar Sheikh resident of Gopalpora Chadoora obstructed his way at Wathora Sheikhpora Chadoora and snatched his Mobile phone and Wallet containing some cash, driving licence, ATM card and other important receipts and fled from the spot. Subsequently, the accused further withdrew an amount of ₹37000/- using ATM PIN of complainant who had kept his ATM PIN in his wallet.
Upon this information, a case FIR Number 32/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Chadoora and investigation set into motion.
During investigation, a team from Police Station Chadoora led by SHO Insp. Mir Sajad Bashir conducted series of raids at multiple places and finally after strenuous efforts and with the help of technology, accused namely Zahid Muzaffar was arrested near Mochwa railway bridge. Cash of Rs.20,000/-, snatched Mobile Phone, 1 Feature Mobile phone, 1 Mobile Charger, 1 Silver Foil paper packet and 2 Insulin Syringes were recovered from his possession.
Further investigation into the case is going on more recoveries are expected.
