Samoon visits Kupwara; inspects Polytechnic, new campus GPC at Karihama

Kupwara, Mar 9: Principal Secretary, Skill Development, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon, today had an extensive tour of Kupwara district during which he inspected the functioning of Government Polytechnic College (GPC) Kupwara, ITI Kupwara besides assessing the ongoing construction work on GPC at Karihama.

Principal Secretary was accompanied by Director Skill Development, Sudershan Kumar, Principal GPS Kupwara, Manzoor Ahmad Kumar; Joint Director Planning, Abdul Majeed, DGM JKPCC Kupwara, Executive Engineer PDD, PHE, R&B and other concerned officers.

During the visit, Principal Secretary visited Government Polytechnic College at Bumhama and interacted with the students and teachers there.

He directed the trainers of the College to put in extra efforts in providing quality education to the students besides organizing exposure visits for them.

He also impressed upon the students to boost their knowledge bank by consulting different sources like internet and library.

Principal Secretary directed the administration of the College to continue engagement of guest faculty so that the students are benefitted.

He inspected the ongoing construction of new campus of the GPC at Karihama, Kupwara.  He directed the concerned engineers to speed up the pace of different works and ensure completion of the buildings within the stipulated time frame.

Earlier, Principal Secretary inspected ITI Kupwara and interacted with the students and faculty members.
