Block Divas: DC Kishtwar listens to grievances of people at Sarthal

Felicitates 13 women job card holders, mates

Kishtwar, Mar 9:  To redress the grievances of the people at their doorstep, Rural Development Department & Panchayati Raj hosted the weekly Block Divas meeting at Sarthal area of Block Trigam, here on Wednesday.

Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Sharma presided over the meeting  attended by  BDC Chairman Trigam, Sri Chand; Assistant Commissioner Development, Atul Dutt Sharma; BDO Trigam Manoj Kumar; DSWO  Tariq Parveaz Qazi; BDO Drabshalla Sobia Shad,  besides District and sectoral officers.

The local PRIs members and civil society members projected local issues and demands and sought upgrading of health, road and Education infrastructure in the area.

The issues related to Employment of locals in the projects on priority basis, rationalisation of teachers and health staff, Blacktopping of Sarthal to Gahan road were among other demands.

After listening to their demands, the Deputy Commissioner redressed many   grievances on the spot and issued directions to concerned officers for time bound redressal of the rest.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar informed the public that Govt has enhanced service delivery through digital mode and people can apply Online for any of the certificates and get digitally signed documents.

He further informed that the online system also facilitates the citizens to check online status of their land records under “Apki Zameen Aapki Nigrani”.

“More such services will be brought under the ambit of service plus framework in near future for facilitating public at large and evolve a transparent and corruption free System” the DC informed.

Meanwhile, 13 Women Job Card holders and mates were facilitated to commemorate the International Women’s Week by presenting them appreciation certificates and mementos.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner along with BDC Chairman Trigam, Assistant Commissioner Development and other officers also visited Panchayat Karool A ,B, C and Gahan village  and inspected panchayat works including works under Area Developmental Plan, 14FC and MGNREGA.
