Drug De- Addiction campaign: SWD organises Rally, Seminar at Bhadarwah

Bhadarwah, Mar 8: A rally and awareness seminar was today organised by the Social Welfare Department here at Government Higher Secondary School Girls,. The program was organised to generate mass awareness about the menace of drugs, especially among the Youths.

A huge rally of students drawn from different institutions was taken out amid chanting of slogans against drug abuse. Several speakers spoke about the disastrous consequences of drug abuse on society, especially among the young generation.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhadarwah Choudhary Dilmir, who was the chief guest also addressed the participants and shared his vital inputs with the students about the drug menace and how it is affecting the society. He advised the locals and young people of the area not to fall into this trap. He also sought their cooperation in eradicating the menace completely from their area as well as from the district.

The rally took off from GHSS and after passing through the market and other different streets culminated at the starting point.

Among others present during the program were Tehsildar Shokat Hayat, Principal GGHSS, Bharat Bhushan and local Social Activists and representatives of social organizations.
