DC Doda reviews performance of banks under self employment schemes at DLRC meeting

Directs for disbursement of all sponsored cases by March end

Also releases booklet on Potential Linked Credit Plan for the financial year 2022-23

Doda, Mar 8: Deputy Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma today chaired a meeting of District Level Review Committee (DLRC) here at the conference hall of DC office complex to review the performance of banks for the quarter ending December 2021.

During the meeting, the DC held threadbare discussion with regard to the achievements against the targets bank wise, especially under self-employment schemes. He also sought explanation regarding the gap between cases sanctioned and cases disbursed.

The DC informed that sponsoring as well as timely disbursement of the sponsored cases is the top priority of the UT and district administration. He directed all the stakeholders to put in extra efforts and work  in coordination to disburse all the sponsored  loan cases  by the end of the March this year.

Further, the DC asked the sponsoring agencies to submit the branch wise data of the pendency, while the banks were asked to submit the reasons in writing for not sanctioning/disbursing the cases which have been sponsored.

During the meeting, the General Manager NABARD also briefed about the formation  FPOs including the salient features of the scheme and  its management. The DC asked the concerned to follow the procedure for proper implementation of the program by way of awareness and practical trainings.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner and other members of the DLRC released a booklet on Potential Linked Credit Plan for the year 2022-23, drafted by NABARD.

The meeting was attended by CPO Doda, LBM, District Manager NABARD, DIO Doda. Besides, officers of various line departments and bank representatives were also present in the meeting.
