Amrit Jyoti Gulmarg Winter Festival -2022

Srinagar, Mar 4: Indian Army in collaboration with GDA, J&K Tourism and the Gulmarg Hotel Association is conducting the “Amrit Joyti Gulmarg Winter Festival – 2022” from 04 to 06 March 2022. This year’s Festival is aligned with ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations that commemorate 75 Years of our Nation’s Independence.

The event kick started today with lightning of ‘IsbandSoz’ by General Offcer Commanding ‘Daggar Division’ followed by performances by renowned local artists to include performances by ‘D Alive Dancer Group’ and‘ Umar Rock Band’. The breathtaking stunt by team of the highly acclaimed ‘High Altitude Warfare School’ (HAWS) was the show stopper today. The snow cycle race & sledge race were a treat to watch in which competitors left no stone unturned to win the races.

 

There was a huge rush at Gulmarg as locals including students from schools, colleges and NCC cadets turned out in huge numbers along with tourists.
