Govt Forms High-Level Panel For Promotion Of ‘One Nation One Ration Card’

Srinagar, Mar 2 : The government on Wednesday ordered constitution of a Committee headed by Chief Secretary for promotion of “One Nation One Ration Card (ONORC)” in the Jammu and Kashmir.

The six member committee has been tasked with to quarterly review the trends and innovations in implementation of the One Nation One Ration Card Plan.

The committee is also tasked to review incorporation of Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and other data driven Technologies and tools for advancement of the ONORC driven PDS reforms in the Jammu and Kashmir, according to the order issued by the government, a copy of which is with GNS. The committee has been tasked to carry “any other matter as may be considered by the Core Committee for deliberations.”

Its members include Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Finance Department; Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Home Department; Administrative Secretary, Labour & Employment Department; Administrative Secretary Social Welfare Department and Administrative Secretary Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs.
