DFO Nowshera conducts series of plantation drives to mark Mahashivratri 

Rajouri, Mar 1: A series of plantation drives were conducted under Har Gaon Hariyali by Divisional Forest Officer Nowshera, Neelima Shah here on the occasion of Mahashivratri.

The DFO planted Bel and Palash plants at Dharpur Temple Makol. Around 370 plants were distributed among the devotees present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, the DFO said that Nowshera Forest Division is conducting plantation drives across the Division by involving members of Panchayat Raj system as well as locals.

Rajeev Dhiman, Divisional Forest Officer Rishikesh also participated in the plantation drive at Dharpur Temple Complex.

Meanwhile similar plantation drives were held at Shiv Mandir Bagnoti, Shiv Mandir Deeng, Shiv Mandir Lamberi, Shiv Mandir Chingus, Shiv Mandir Nowshera, Shiv Mandir Ramsoo and Shiv Mandir zero point Kalsian.

Bargad, Peepal , Bel and Palash plants were planted during the plantation drives .

The plantation drives were also conducted in Sunderbani Range by Range Officer Rakesh Verma along with Block Officer Devak Ved Parkash.
