Sant Nirankari Mission organises free eye-checkup camp, Cleanliness, Plantation drives in memory of Baba Hardev Singh Ji

Div Com hails SNM for welfare activities

Jammu, Feb 23: Sant Nirankari Mission, in the memory of Baba Hardev Singh Ji organised free eye-check up camps, cleanliness and plantation drives across India from 10 am to 2 pm today.

At the eye camp, patients were provided free eye checkup and  those with cataracts were registered for surgery at government hospitals. Sant Nirankari Mission will provide free medication and spectacles to those in need.

In Jammu the camp was inaugurated by Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Raghav Langer.

Speaking on the occasion, he appreciated the social activities of Nirankari Mission.

About 700 patients were screened in the camp and 150 diagnosed for cataract surgeries.

Ajit Singh Zonal,  Incharge SNM Jammu said that the Mission is spreading the message of love and compassion aiming to create a world without walls.

He said Sant Nirankari Mission will plant 50,000 saplings this day and will vow to take care of the planted saplings, in order to help reduce pollution levels and with the larger aim of helping increase the natural levels of oxygen in our surroundings, with these trees.

He said Sant Nirankari Mission is organizing the cleanliness and tree plantation campaign for the betterment of human welfare, with the message that Pollution, whether within or outside is harmful.’ All these activities will be organised with due adherence to the Covid-19 safety protocol laid by the government.

Team of doctors present in the camp included Dr. Satish Gupta, Prof & HOD Eye GMC Jammu along with 5 doctors and one technician and Dr Neerupama Dogra along with two technicians from Govt Hospital Gandhi Nagar, which worked under the supervision of Dr perupkar Singh.
