Srinagar Acid attack: Police files 1000 page chargesheet against three accused before CJM court, JJB

‘Third accused being a minor to be tried before JJB as per JJ act’

Srinagar, Feb 22 : Jammu and Kashmir police Tuesday filed a 100 page chargesheet against three accused including two adults and one minor into the Srinagar acid attack case, police said.

“About 1000 page Chargesheet Filed today against 3 accused, 2 adults & 1 Juvenile in Hon’ble CJM court & Juvenile Justice Board (JJB). Petition also filed to try juvenile as per JJ act as crime is heinous in nature & juvenile is above 16 & below 18 years,” a police official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO)

The accused had threw acid on the face of 24-year-old victim at Nowhatta area of Srinagar. The victin also lost her vision and has been flown out of JK for treatment.
