6- Days Skill Training programme concludes at KVK Budgam

Budgam, Feb 22: The six days skill training of Rural Youth (STRY) programme on “Poultry Rearing and Management” concluded at KVK Budgam.

The programme was organised in collaboration with MANAGE- Hyderabad and SAMETI, SKUAST-K and a total of 28 unemployed youth attended the training programme.

During the inaugural session, Dr Nasir Ahmad Dar (Course Director/Sr. Scientist & Head) highlighted the need for skill training for Atma Nirbhar Bharat.

Dr. Mir Nadeem (Course Coordinator) impressed upon the need of startups in Poultry sector to overcome unemployment.

Resource person/experts from faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, SKUAST-K, KVK and Department of Animal Husbandry Budgam deliberated upon diverse aspects of poultry farming during the training programme.

An exposure tour was also organized for the trainees.
