DC Anantnag felicitates 10th, 12th Class position holders

Anantnag, Feb 18: Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Dr Piyush Singla presided over the felicitation ceremony held for 10th and 12th class students who performed well in their  examination  and  register their names among  the toppers in the valley.

Speaking on the occasion Dr Singla said that the students have demonstrated brilliance in their academic examinations and have made the district proud.

He also lauded the efforts of their teachers and parents. He said that  a good proportion of the students belong to Govt schools and their academic performance implies the success of critical reforms made in the education sector.

While lauding the achievements by specially abled students in the examination, the Deputy Commissioner said that they have demonstrated that with sheer will and dedication one can overcome any barrier and no feat is unachievable. He also congratulated the CEO, the teaching and non teaching staff and all other students who have performed well in the exams.

Assistant Commissioner Anantnag, District Information Officer Anantnag and Principal Higher Secondary School Ranibagh also congratulated the students and wished them the best for their future.

Specially abled students Afroza Jan and Syed Hikmat Yaseen shared their inspirational stories and explained how they overcame obstacles to achieve success. The principal of the school where Hikmat Yaseen was enrolled lauded the girl for her dedication and congratulated her for achieving this brilliant feat.

He also said that the revolutionary transformation in the manner of teaching has been instrumental in massive improvement in education sector. The father of Imran, a specially abled students was lauded for the support he had extended in ensuring his child’s education despite the circumstances.

The felicitated students include Hafsa Yousuf, Sheema Yousuf, Batool Imtiyaz, Saliq Ashraf, Muskan Tariq, Ishan Ahmed and Aalima Javaid. A prize distribution ceremony was also held and medals and certificates were distributed among the students by the DC Anantnag.

The function was attended by Chief Education, Students and parents among others
