Sports Activities in Tangdhar Tehsil Karnah

Karnah,14 Feb: A delegation J&K Football Association led by Shri Tariq Madni, Secretary DFA Srinagar visited  a far flung area of District Kupwara, Tangdhar  Tehsil Karnah on 11th of Feb 2022 for the inauguration of the Football league Tournament  . The other members of the delegation were Shri Abdul Majeed kakroo, Former International Footballer, Farooq Shaheen, Chairman Referees Committee, Mr. Sarfaraz Nabi & Mr. Bilal Ahmad members of J&K Football Association.  J&K Football Association is concerned about promotion of the game in the nock & corner of the UT.

20 Clubs of Karnah are participating in this Tournament This is for the first time that Sports Association Karnah under the aegis of J&K Football Association have started a Football Tournament which has  been welcomed by the fraternity of Footballers in general & the people of Kanha in particular. The match was inaugurated by  Shri SP Kansul Brigaider 104 who was the Chief Guest on the Occasion.  J&K Football Association will extend full support to the Sports Association Karnah & in due course of time the Election of the Office Bearers will be held which will pave the way for the formation of a Zone  in the area & will further help in the smooth functioning of the Tournaments in the area. J&K football Association feels proud of starting their activities in such a far off place where road connectivity remains suspended for almost six months, and this speaks volumes about the interest JKFA is taking for the promotion of football in the UT. The Association appreciates the efforts and the arrangements made by the Sports Association Karnah for starting the first ever league Football Tournament.
