2 Days Awareness/Training programme on ‘Food Safety Training, Certification’ commences at Gbl

Ganderbal, Feb 14: Two days Training cum Awareness programme on Food Safety Training and Certification commenced today at Town Hall Ganderbal.

The programme has been organised by the Food Safety Department in collaboration with Global institute for Education and Research Foundation New Delhi and was attended by Food Business Operators Viz. Retailers, Petty Manufacturers, Tea Shops and Wholesalers.

Detailed Presentation was made by the Trainers regarding good hygiene practices, proper storage and sanitation, proper food handling to be followed during manufacturing, processing and at retail level.

Food Safety Officers of the district also participated in the said training programme.

All the stakeholders who are dealing with the Food Business appreciated the role of the Food Safety Department in the district for the effective implementation of FSS Act-2006, its rules and regulation.
