National Unani Day celebrated at Kishtwar

Kishtwar, Feb 11: National Unani Day was celebrated today here at Mini secretariat DC office complex under the direction of Director AYUSH Jammu and Kashmir UT.

Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Kumar Sharma was the chief guest on this occasion.

Speaking on this occasion Deputy Commissioner complimented the Department of AYUSH Kishtwar in particular for its overall, effective and time bound services.

He applauded the entire AYUSH fraternity Kishtwar for their role in the pandemic in particular.

Earlier, District Nodal officer AYUSH, Dr Taraq Hussain welcomed the Deputy Commissioner and other participants. He briefly explained the role of the Unani pathy in day to day life.

Medical officer Dr Amjad Majid, in his keynote address, threw light on the Unani pathy and its founder in India, Hakim Ajmal kahan. He explained the utility, cure, prevention and precautions mentioned in the literature of the Unani pathy by its esteemed scholars.

The main highlight of the event was the views presented by students Mohammad Aamil, Maimoona Amber and Mabrooka Amber  on the Unani system of medicines.

Around 200 immunity booster kits were also distributed on this occasion.

The program concluded with the Vote of thanks by Medical officer Dr. Monika Sharma
