Reopening of Schools: Shopian Administration gears up to aware Teachers, Students on Covid SOPs

Shopian, Feb 10: The District Administration Shopian today geared up the awareness regarding Covid-19 SOPs among students and teachers in view of the reopening of schools.

In this regard, the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Shopian Sachin Kumar Vaishya today convened a meeting of all the concerned at Mini Secretariat, here.

The DC said that before opening the schools, Covid-19 safety awareness programme for educational institutions is a must and special training and certification programme will also be held in this regard.

“The District Administration will frame the ‘School Safety Plan’, under which interactions will be held with both parents and students,” he said.

Vaishya stressed on the basic hygiene, physical distancing and other Covid-19 SOPs, which needs to be followed during the opening of Schools.

Those who attended the meeting include Additional Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmed Simnani, Chief Education Officer (CEO), all Zonal Education Officers (ZEO) and Heads of Institutions.
