Srinagar-Jammu National highway to remain open for LMVs from both sides: SSP Ramban

Srinagar, Feb 3 : The authorities on Thursday said that the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway will remain open for light motor vehicles from both sides even as the Kashmir Valley received fresh snowfall since last night.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), SSP Traffic Ramban, Shabir Ahmad Malik said that the highway is open and traffic was plying smoothly from both sides of the highway.

He said that, however, in case of continuous inclement or bad weather, commuters are advised to check status of the road before commencing travel on the road.

Meanwhile, as per the advisory issuer by the traffic department, Srinagar-Jammu national highway will remain open for LMVs from both sides, subject to fair weather conditions.

Notably, Mughal road, SSG Road and Kishtwar-Sinthan Road continue to remain closed for vehicular movement in view of snow accumulation.
