Srinagar, Feb 2: Several members on Wednesday staged a protest at Jehangir Chowk here over the acid attack on a 24-year-old girl,demanding strict implementation of laws on crimes against women.
“Police should take strict actions on such crimes against women so that no one will dare to carry out such attacks in future,” one of the protester told reporters.
The girl had severe injuries in her face and part of her eyes has also received contusions when a youth allegedly threw acid on her in Wantapora area here in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district last evening.
