DDC Rajouri inspects progress on NH 144A at Sunderbani

Rajouri, Jan 28: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today visited Sunderbani, where he inspected the progress of work on National Highway 144A.

The DDC was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Defence, Saleem Quershi and Officers of Engineering wing of GREF.

Conducting spot inspections at various construction sites, he asked the executing agency to ensure maintenance of the road while executing the up-gradation work of the Highway. He exhorted the Engineers to avoid any inconvenience to the commuters travelling on the road.

Issues regarding compensation of the land acquired for the widening of the road were also discussed.

The DDC also asked the concerned officers to put in extra efforts to ensure that the work on the road is completed within the set timeline.

He also asked to maintain quality while executing the work on the project and made it clear that no laxity shall be tolerated in this regard.
