DC Bandipora reviews progress of roads and infrastructure

Finalises plan for next financial year

Bandipora, Jan 28: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad on Friday chaired a meeting of officers to review the status of developmental works under R&B sector in the district.

Meeting discussed formulation and submission of cities and towns plan through DDC and submission of projects under NABARD and discussed the core issues with regard to various projects under R&B sector.

The DC directed the concerned departments and executing agencies to expedite the work for timely completion of all projects. Several measures to be taken for early completion of projects were also discussed in the meeting.

The DC inquired about the status of various ongoing projects and got feedback from officers regarding physical and financial progress of all works.

During the meeting officers were asked to come up with a priority list of roads to be macdamised this year.

Dr Owais informed that more than 170 kilometres were macdamized last year and hoped that this record will be broken in the upcoming working season this year. He also reviewed status of Evo termo sampling for macdamization.

It was given out that Gurez Sub-Division including Tulail shall witness a massive macdamisation program in 2022 as Hot Mix Plant has been installed and shall start functioning from May end.

The left out important Town roads which were not Black topped have also been proposed for macdamization for Coming summer season.

R&B Bandipore was also asked to expedite works of health, Education, MC Departments as well.  The thrust was laid on completion of pending DDC / BDC / PRI works by March.

The DC emphasized on early completion of all the approved projects. He stressed on regular monitoring of works and asked the officers to follow deadline and complete the work within given timeframe. He enjoined upon concerned officers and agencies to work with dedication so that all developmental targets are achieved.
